Xchange

Xchange is a small currency-conversion table, similar to the built-in one but with additional features:
 - Exchange rates are saved (just enter the rate once and use it during your vacation).
 - Store as as many different rates as you like (as long there is any free memory left).
 - Rates and currencies can be named.

The selected radio button on the right side determines the row that should be calculated from the other two values.

Switching to another saved exchange rate can be done the usual way: use the up and down arrow to show the previous or next rate and the overview button (between the arrows) opens a list of all stored rates.

A new rate-entry will be generated after pressing "new". Removing, duplicating or beaming the current rate is possible with the "action button" (envelope). The "i-button" opens the "info-box" containing more infos about Xchange.

Since some people like to use Xchange also for other conversions then currencies I included the "Mode" button. There you can select for each entry seperately witch labeling should be displayed (for money or a general labeling).

Known Limitations
-----------------
- If Xchange is installed in internal memory then you should wait at least 30 seconds after the last change bevor removing the memory card. Otherwise there is the danger of loosing data. I would recommend that you never remove a memory card when a program is open.

Check out my Homepage http://pobox.com/~bnet/thorsten for the actual list of my applications together with more informations about them (screenshots,...)

> i++< (Shareware)
With i++ you can extent/customize the menu shown when tapping an "i-Button". Menu items can be included to open applications (without opening the extras drawer, frozen apps will activated on the fly and afterwards frozen again) or to invoke other special actions (like changing the screen orientation, reset your Newton, system info reports battery and memory status or toggle backlighting).

Those info buttons are present in most Newton2.0 applications, since it is a standard component of the 2.0 user interface. So "your" special purpose menu will be reachable in most situations without getting in your way when you do not need it.

In my opinion i++ is a "natural" extension of the Newton2.0 user interface.

Please note: i++ does not support Newton1.x systems!
Available in German and in English.

> AddressAccess < (Shareware)
The faster card file. AddressAccess supplies an easy and efficient interface to the cards stored in your Newton - no more using the slow overview function to find a person's address.

AddressAccess V1.61 is now available - with improved speed and better look and feel (compared to V1.5x). Since V1.20 there are lots of new features and it's now 2.0-savvy!

AddressAccess features:
 - comfortable editor for easily changing or adding cards.
 - Sort your cards by first name, last name or company (or as marked on the cards).
 - use a lot of 2.0-names-fields (multiple addresses, custom fields) even with 1.x systems (stored NOS2.0 compatible also on 1.x systems)
 - Address is formatted according to the country.
 - Nearly infinitely long notes for each card are possible.
 - Direct dialling of phone numbers without any further dialogs.
 - Direct beaming of cards.
 - Direct beaming of your card (NOS1.x: define it once, NOS2.0: owner info is used).
 - together with "i++" V1.10 or higher on 2.0-systems:
   - create a new card directly from the "i" button
   - open the built-in names (usefull if AddressAccess redefines the names button)
 - And a lot of user-configurable options (redefine names button, select one of four different keyboards,...)

After being quite a success in Germany an English version is now available.
Works with Newton1.x and 2.0.

> Wunschzettel < (English: "list of wishes") (Shareware)
This is a small (check-)list manager with a special feature: Each entry you once made can be "remembered" by Wunschzettel. So after entering its name once you can reuse the item over and over again just on two "taps".

A typical example is a shopping list. Instead of writing again and again items like "bread", "tooth-paste", ... you can select these entries from dynamically growing pop-up lists.

More Features of Wunschzettel:
 - Supports multiple lists (each one has its own pop-up lists).
 - On each list, entries can be assigned to one (of three) different named categories.
 - Each entry is in one of three states: selected&unchecked, selected&checked, not selected.
 - Each selected entry can have an additional, temporary small note.
 - Sort selected entries by four different criteria: alpha, checked+alpha, categories+alpha, checked+categories+alpha

There are quite a few areas where Wunschzettel can be found useful - just give it a try!

Works with Newton1.x and 2.0.
Available in German and in English.
